By Steve Lake The TARDIS wheezed and groaned into existence, materialising next to a large wooden structure in the dark, dusty wild west town. A tumbleweed tumbled past, and in the distance a dog barked. It was the middle of the night, and so fortunately no-one had seen the arrival of the blue box. A thing that does stuff

Two decades ago I built a thing. A thing that does stuff. Truth be told I can't remember what this thing does. Built from a broken bigtrak circuit board, a scrapped case and some other bits, it clearly looked impressively ur.. home made. But I don't remember what it does. Lost and forgotten it sat in a bag, in a box in the loft of our old house. It moved to our current house and ended up in the shed. I found it in March this year. Memories of building it came flooding back. Screwing the case up.. Applying the stickers carefully.. It feels important at the back of my brain.. And yet I have no idea what it does.
