Scrapped parody song - "It's dialling home"

During the recent world cup, I started a parody song based on "It's coming home" by Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds.

It was Stargate SG1 based.. because.. I'm not sure why.

Anyway - got bored with it and didn't finish.
I'll be honest, it's not great.

Here's how far I got:

----

It's dialling home, it's dialling home, it's dialling
Stargate's dialling home
It's dialling home, it's dialling home, it's dialling
Stargate's dialling home
It's dialling home, it's dialling home, it's dialling
Stargate's dialling home
It's dialling home, it's dialling home, it's dialling
Stargate's dialling home

Everyone seems to know the score, they've seen it all before
They just know, they're so sure
SG1's gonna throw it away, gonna blow it away
But I know they can play, 'cause I remember

[Chorus: All]
Chevrons on the gate
Staff weapons still glowing
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me going

Ancient dpaint anims #2 - Glarp

GLARP!

About the clip:

This is the fully evolved animated version of "3dGlarp.lbm" which was one of Dan's psychotic colour cycling DPaint creations. Sadly* this version does not colour cycle

(*Which is actually just as well because they may have caused psychotropic reactions in the hypothalamus and frontal lobe - or something )

Technical bits:

The original animation was created in Dpaint Animator on the PC back in 1991. In December 2001 the dpaint ".ANM" file was re-saved frame by frame in Dpaint Animator, imported into Flash where duplicate frames were removed and timing was improved, and eventually it was re-saved as this ".SWF" with an HTML header.

In July 2018 I converted it to an animated gif and uploaded it here.

Ancient dpaint anims #1 - 'STEVE1 - The Movie'

STEVE1 - The Movie

About the clip:

This epic feature film (ahem) was created in Dpaint Animator over a period of several weeks, on and off. The main green space ship is based on a Viper from Elite, but is not entirely the same - it was just nice and easy to draw. The text and tactical scan of the star system took AGES to figure out how to do - in the end I had to create it backwards, starting with a full picture and gradually deleting bits off.

The storyline - well.. theres a space ship with some vital cargo to deliver to the space station, and on the way it gets attacked. Not exactly brainstorming stuff, but for a dpaint anim, it's not bad.

In 2018 I uploaded it to Youtube which frankly trashed the quality of it, then I realised I could just convert it to an animated gif and put it here instead.

Advent Calendar of Various Stuff - FAIL!

Yeah, I failed at that didn't I.

Seems that I forgot about it after day 6..
What I should do next time is pre-prepare the whole 24 days and set scheduled publishes.

Oh well.  Here are some festive things to make up for it:

Here is a picture of some polar bears in Minecraft.

Advent Calendar of Various Stuff - Day 6 - Mixels Santa

Painting with our 6 year old son at the weekend, and he wanted me to paint a Lego Mixel.
Here's the result -

Sure, it won't win any awards, but I was quite pleased

Advent Calendar of Various Stuff - Day 5 - Mince

Found this while tidying.

Seriously - 60 recipes for Mince from around the world, including Minced Beef Gateau, as featured on the cover.

I decided the world did not need any more problems, and so it has been thrown into the recycling to be turned into a tissue box or insulation or whatever else paper gets recycled into.

Advent Calendar of Various Stuff - Day 4 - Tiny Metal Pokemon

Pikachu!

This is a tiny metal Pikachu from Pokemon Monopoly.
Pikachu is approximately 1.5cm tall.

Just look at the detail for something so small - look at it's cute tiny wee nosey.  Awwwwww.
